Published by the Roeliff Jansen Historical Society in 1993, “The Mill” covers 250 Years of American Industrial History. With barely 300 years of modern history, few other industrial facilities in America can boast 250 of continuous operation. This celebrated mill, located on the Roe Jan River in the center of Ancram, is still in use to this day. Evolving  in size and stature, this mill  has survived through the centuries by ceaselessly innovating to keep pace with the growing needs of a growing nation.
