TAGHKANIC
The towns of Livingston and Taghkanic, NY, stretch from the Hudson River to the south central part of Columbia County. Blissfully rural, they are dotted with lovely hamlets such as Blue Stores, Linlithgo, Livingston and Taghkanic. Taghkanic was formed from the town of Livingston in 1803 as the town of Granger. Hudson River access through the Roeliff Jansen Kill offers opportunities for boating and fishing and both towns have flourishing farms, stunning views and landscapes, historic and modern homes and an abundance of fresh air, beauty, peace and quiet.
